Job summary

Sofitel Dubai Downtown is seeking a detail-driven Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. Attend all laundry and dry-cleaning operations, follow hotel standards, and process linens with care to support a flawless guest experience.

You will operate laundry machinery, manage cycles, handle chemicals safely, keep work areas clean, and report issues promptly. English communication is required and at least 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in laundry operations.
• Good spoken English and clear communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend all laundry and dry-cleaning operations following hotel standards.
• Follow linen and uniform laundry flows and established cycles.
• Operate machines with proper knowledge and safety.
• Handle chemicals safely and report any damage or malfunctions.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of the working area and stores.
• Participate in inventory and daily checklists.

What you will be doing:

• Attend all laundry and dry-cleaning operations, following the hotel standards and procedures.
• Followthe linen and uniforms laundry flows and to respect the established cycles and instructions.
• Have a full knowledge of all the textiles and their proper care.
• Use all the machines and equipment with proper knowledge, care and maintenance.
• Handle and store chemicals with proper care, and to use correct formulas, following all healthy and safety regulations.
• Immediately report to superior any damage or malfunctioning in the laundry equipment or operations, including linen and uniforms status.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the working area and stores.
• Ensure proper handling of lost and found items.
• Participate in monthly inventories.
• Follow up daily check lists.
• Report any guest comment or complaint.
• Read and complete the laundry Logbooks and reports.

• At least 1 years’ experience in the position
• Languages: good spoken English.
• Excellent organizational skills and time management.
