Job summary

African Queen Marketing Management seeks a seasoned marketing leader to build our first market presence from the ground up. You will own brand, campaigns, packaging and shop openings, while establishing essential partnerships with retailers and mobile operators.

You will hire and lead country marketing managers as new markets come online, manage budgets and CAC, and drive rapid, measurable growth in emerging markets. This is a hands-on, non-remote role with frequent travel to launch markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in marketing with real commercial ownership (budget, CAC or revenue).
• Built a marketing operation where none existed.
• Ground experience in African or comparable emerging consumer markets, not just hub-based."
• Retail, distribution and mobile operator partnership experience.
• Hired and led in-market marketing people, not only central teams.
• Willingness to spend extended periods in launch markets; this is not a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Build the launch operation from zero — brand assets, packaging, signage, shop openings, campaigns.
• Build and run the retail and mobile operator partnerships.
• Own the budget and the cost per acquisition, measured per unit sold.
• Turn the first opening into a playbook the next twenty run on.
• Hire and lead the country marketing managers as each new market comes online.
