Job summary

Aloft is seeking a kitchen professional to prepare meals, monitor cooking equipment, and maintain high standards of presentation and food safety in its Abu Dhabi property. The role involves assisting management with hiring, training, and scheduling, while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to company policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of related experience, a technical or vocational degree, and is capable of working in a fast-paced hotel kitchen with attention to quality

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and ensure proper portioning, presentation, and garnishes.
• Monitor ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters temperature and maintain food logs.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; assist during busy periods.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching employees.
• Adhere to safety policies, protect company assets, and maintain professional appearance.
• Stand and move for extended periods while handling tasks weighing up to 25 pounds.
