Job summary

Desert group investment LLC in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Landscape Supervisor to lead the landscape and irrigation activities across our sites. You will supervise a team, ensure quality, meet contractual obligations, and drive daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

You will provide technical guidance on plant choices, drawings interpretation, pest management in line with UAE laws, and coordinate with HR on attendance and safety. Strong communication and MS-Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

Hold a degree in agriculture engineering from a recognized university.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in landscape construction and maintenance.
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Bold personality, strong analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills preferred.
Computer literate and good understanding of MS-Office.
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of trust and confidentiality.
Passionate team player and driven to exceed results.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain client relationships, creating a positive impression and proactive attitude.
Monitor work progress and performance, taking prompt action and reporting irregularities to the landscape manager.
Supervise landscape & irrigation activities; attend to complaints and rectifications.
Ensure the team is given daily, weekly and monthly targets and is productive on site.
Ensure sites are visited regularly, update work/operational schedules, and maintain quality per contract.
Provide technical guidance on plant choices, sourcing, work methods, equipment and techniques.
Possess knowledge of plant physiology, soil science and plant nutrition.
Ensure irrigation drawings meet high standards and deadlines.
Ensure site irrigation systems are installed as per design and specifications.
Pest & Disease control in line with UAE laws and manufacturer instructions.
Ensure machinery and equipment are in good condition and report repairs promptly.
Assist with preparation of BOQs as required.
Assist with procuring quality materials to maintain standards.
Manage employee relations issues with HR support per policy.
Monitor time and attendance and payroll timesheets.
Ensure staff wear uniforms, attend work regularly on sites and adhere to Health & Safety standards.
Implement the company Health & Safety policy across sites; complete accident and near-miss reports.
Support operational teams in a hands-on capacity as required.
