Landscape Inspector

Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications, including irrigation, soft landscaping, hard landscaping, temporary/permanent signs, mechanical equipment, building and facility construction, and site development.
• Maintain office files related to the project, quantity calculations, daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
• Perform labor compliance interviews and maintain as‑built plans.
• Recognize potential conflicts, issues, and problems, and report to supervisor with proposed solutions.
• Collect, review and file Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other material‑related documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to lower‑level inspectors.
• Coordinate work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
• Participate in the development of job safety practices and prepare safety reports.
• Participate in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
• Report installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
• Respond to callbacks in case of emergency at the project site.
• Administer welder qualification tests.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Required Skills

• Bachelor/Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Landscape, Irrigation or related course).
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in construction supervision of landscape and irrigation works.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be in the UAE.

Desired Skills

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; thorough familiarity with construction processes related to area of assignment.
