Stantec is looking to hire a Landscape Inspector to ensure compliance of landscape works to design requirements, specifications and project plan.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect site conditions prior to start of construction activities.
  • Verify compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.
  • Check for obstructions.
  • Photograph and document condition of existing property that might be damaged by the work.
  • Ensure all existing structures, property, utilities and landscaping are properly protected.
  • Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment and report findings.
  • Check that materials delivered to site are properly stored and report discrepancies.
  • Inspect construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.
  • Prepare daily logs and reports. Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc. Perform all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
  • Observe site safety practices and progress of the work. Report any concerns.
  • Assist with inspection of completed works, help prepare punch lists, monitor start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the works.
  • Perform all other duties given by direct manager.
Qualifications
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of UAE experience in a similar or equivalent position and job description.
  • 3 years consultancy experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines: Landscape Architecture or Engineering (Civil Engineering acceptable if experience has been in Landscape).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems and trade practices is required.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and under changing environments.
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize, plan and achieve project tasks.
  • Ability to work with contractors at site and any other necessary parties.
