Job summary

EDGE seeks a Land Test Team Lead to plan, design, and lead land-based test and evaluation activities at Abu Al Abyad Test Range and other locations. The role covers arena testing, static rocket and engine tests, and qualification testing in diverse environments.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and drive data acquisition, analysis, and reporting to deliver high-quality test outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience leading technical teams of engineers and technicians.
• Experience planning and executing test & evaluation programmes in defence or related industries.
• Knowledge of explosives, munitions, weapon systems, and qualification testing methodologies.
• Experience setting up and operating data acquisition systems, instrumentation, sensors, and explosive test setups.
• Strong communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of land test activities (arena testing, rocket/engine testing, qualifying tests).
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define test requirements and configurations.
• Design test setups to capture required performance and safety data.
• Develop verification test plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee test engineers and technicians during preparation and execution.
• Ensure data is captured, validated, and reported per requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and present test data accurately.
• Manage data acquisition systems, sensors, and testing equipment.
