Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai, UAE seeks an experienced Land Surveyor to support infrastructure surveys for roads, utilities, drainage, and earthworks. You will perform topographic and boundary surveys using Total Stations and GNSS, set-out infrastructure elements, and maintain survey control networks in line with DM standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying with 8+ years of UAE experience, and a DM license is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years' experience as a Land Surveyor on UAE infrastructure projects.
• Dubai Municipality Land Surveyor Certificate/License strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Total Station, GPS/GNSS, and data collectors.
• Strong understanding of UAE infrastructure survey standards and local authority submissions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, control, and as-built surveys for infrastructure projects using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, and Levels.
• Perform setting-out of roads, utilities, drainage, and site levels per IFC drawings.
• Prepare and maintain survey control networks and ensure traceability to DM benchmarks.
• Process survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to generate maps and volumes.
• Coordinate with design and site teams to resolve discrepancies between design and as-built conditions.
• Prepare survey reports, as-built drawings, and volume computations for handover and progress claims.
• Liaise with Dubai Municipality and other authorities for survey approvals and certifications.

As a Land Surveyor, you will carry out surveys for infrastructure projects roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks, and related civil works ensuring all survey data supports design, setting-out, and quality control in compliance with UAE regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographic, boundary, control, and as-built surveys for infrastructure projects using Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, and Levels.
• Perform setting-out of infrastructure works including roads, utility corridors, storm water/sewerage networks, and site levels as per approved IFC drawings.
• Prepare and maintain survey control networks (horizontal and vertical) and ensure traceability to DM/local authority benchmarks.
• Process survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant survey software; generate topographic maps, cross-sections, longitudinal profiles, and cut/fill volume calculations.
• Coordinate with design, planning, and site engineering teams to resolve discrepancies between design and as-built conditions.
• Prepare and submit survey reports, as-built drawings, and volume/quantity computations to support progress claims and handover documentation.
• Liaise with Dubai Municipality (DM) and other relevant authorities for survey approvals, benchmark verification, and as-built certification submissions.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE surveying standards, and QA/QC procedures during all survey activities.
• Maintain and calibrate survey instruments; ensure proper documentation of calibration records.
• Support utility detection/verification surveys in coordination with relevant authorities (DEWA, Etisalat/du, Trakhees, etc. as applicable).
• Maintain accurate survey records, field books, and digital data archives for audit and handover purposes.
• Provide technical support during infrastructure handover and DM as-built approval processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years' relevant experience as a Land Surveyor on infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks) in the UAE.
• Dubai Municipality (DM) Land Surveyor Certificate/License strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Total Station, GPS/GNSS survey equipment, and data collectors.
• Strong understanding of UAE infrastructure survey standards and local authority (DM, DEWA, Trakhees) submission requirements.
• Experience with as-built survey preparation and utility/drainage network verification.
