Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations on major projects. You will interface with clients and contractors, ensure survey requirements are met on schedule and within budgets, and prepare sketches and field records.

You should hold a BSc in Engineering or a Technical Diploma and have 8+ years of infra experience, with CAD/survey software, total station, GPS, and data collectors.

Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering or Technical Diploma in engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience on infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Knowledge and/or experience in CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations and structural inspection.
• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels; verify services locations and protection.
• Prepare sketches to support field work and maintain survey records.
• Measure work done when required and observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of 'as-built' drawings.
• Participate in health and safety issues on site as required.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Land Surveyorto join our team! In this role you will get to perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations on major stormwater inspection projects

What You'll Be Doing:

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations and structural inspection.
• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
• Measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of 'as-built' drawings.
• Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
