Job summary

Parsons is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in the UAE. You will perform field surveys, support marine and infrastructure projects, and ensure accuracy of geodetic data.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Associate in Land Surveying with 7+ years of UAE experience, proficient in CAD and survey software, total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment, and possess strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate degree in Land Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in infra and marine projects, UAE experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD software and survey software; total station, data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Land Surveyor to join our team! In this role you will get to perform works in the field as part of a survey crew performing various surveying activities including Marine works.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Review drawings and documents related to the Marine, Roads & infrastructure works.
• Supervision of works related to the Survey
• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
• Measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.
• Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer, and project Safety Representative.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

• Diploma/ Associate degree in Land Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in infra & Marine projectspreferably has UAE experience with a consultant.
• Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to attend in-persons interviews.
• GCC experience is an advantage.

• Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
• Must possess the ability to comprehend and interpret construction specifications, as well as demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of construction-related processes pertinent to the designated area of assignment.
• Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
