Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lab Engineer to oversee day-to-day lab activities and provide first-line technical support for optimal operation. The role includes developing and delivering training programs, workshops, and initiatives to foster engagement among students, entrepreneurs, and lab users in support of UAEU and UAEU SIP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Engineering or related field; FabLab Trainer certification preferred.
• 0-2 years experience; experience conducting workshops in 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining.
• Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fabrication machines (3D printers, laser cutters, CNC, PCB milling) in daily lab activities.
• Design and fabricate high-quality prototypes per customer specifications using available design tools.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops to students, entrepreneurs, and lab users.
• Support lab users with technical assistance and guidance.
• Maintain safety protocols, inventory, and records of maintenance and training sessions.
