Job summary

Epergne Solutions is looking for a Kong Administrator & Developer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Job Role: Kong Administrator & Developer

Job location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure Kong entities (services, routes, plugins, caching, API management).
• Create and customize Kong plugins; implement request/response transformations.
• Develop custom Lua scripts for extended functionality.
• Integrate Kong with APIs, backend systems, and DevOps pipelines.
• Manage API security: authentication, authorization, rate limiting, RBAC.
• Implement traffic management (load balancing, caching).
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kong performance issues.
• Maintain API documentation via Kong Developer Portal.
• Stay updated on new Kong features and best practices.

Job Skills & Requirements

• Strong experience in Kong administration and development.
• Solid understanding of API design (REST, OpenAPI) and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in Lua and Python scripting.
