Job summary

One&Only The Palm, part of Kerzner International, invites applications for a Commis Waiter/Waitress. You will support the service team, prepare the restaurant for service, take and deliver orders, clear and reset tables, and coordinate with kitchen and service staff.

The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year in a quality hotel or resort, with basic F&B knowledge, a willingness to learn, strong personal presentation, and good English.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year experience in a quality hotel, resort or restaurant.
• Basic food and beverage knowledge required.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the team.
• Strong personal presentation and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage politely with a diverse range of guests.
• Good communication in English; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Prepare mise-en-place and restaurant setup before service.
• Assist in serving food and beverages promptly with genuine hospitality.
• Maintain menu and beverage knowledge to support guests.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment arrangement to resort standards.
• Support senior team members and perform assigned tasks efficiently.
• Attend required trainings and team briefings; communicate effectively with colleagues.
