Job summary

BESIX is looking for a motivated UAE National Junior Structural Engineer to support flagship projects in Dubai. This role offers hands-on experience in structural design, site coordination, and project execution within a leading multinational organization.

Ideal candidates should hold a degree in Civil Engineering, preferably have a Master’s, and possess knowledge of structural design codes and software. The position promises participation in high-profile projects that aid the UAE’s growing infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Civil Engineering is essential; having a Master's degree is preferable.
• Proficient in steel and concrete structural design.
• Familiarity with international codes and local regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and evaluation of tender and project design.
• Assist in production of design reports using FEM tools.
• Develop structural design packages under supervision.
• Participate in site visits to ensure compliance with design.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and safety standards.

Skills

Knowledge of steel and concrete structural design

Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS EN international codes and local regulations

Proficiency in Structural software and AutoCAD

Education

Graduate in Civil Engineering (preferably Master’s degree in Structural)

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated UAE National Junior Structural Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of our flagship projects in Dubai. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a young engineering professional to gain hands‑on experience in structural design, site coordination, and project execution within a leading multinational organization. The Junior Structural Engineer will play an important role in ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance across complex developments that contribute to the UAE’s growing infrastructure and urban landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in design and evaluation of tender and project design.
• Assist in production of design reports based on calculation performed with various FEM tools.
• Develop project permanent and temporary works structural design packages under supervision of Senior Structural Engineers.
• Participate in site visits during the construction phase to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
• Ensure structural design complies with design and building codes and standards (ACI, Eurocode, British Standard, AASHTO, ASTM, etc.) and project specifications.
• Ensure structural design prioritise safety and comply with HSE standards.
• Develop R&D initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of design practices.
