Caliberly is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Legal – Assistant Manager to support legal and compliance in a shipping and logistics environment.

You will manage contracts, interpret laws, advise on commercial matters, monitor regulatory changes, and mitigate risk across operations while safeguarding the company.

This role collaborates with operations, finance, and HR, coordinates with external counsel when needed, and offers growth in a global trade context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in shipping, logistics, or corporate environments.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and maritime regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Legal Support & Advisory: provide legal guidance on day-to-day business matters and interpret laws and contracts.
• Contract Management: draft, review, and negotiate contracts; manage a centralized contract repository.
• Compliance & Regulatory Affairs: ensure UAE and maritime regulatory compliance and assist audits.
• Dispute Resolution & Risk Management: support disputes and identify preventive measures.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain records and prepare management-ready legal reports.
• Coordination & Stakeholder Management: liaise with internal departments and external advisors.
