You will manage contracts, interpret laws, advise on commercial matters, monitor regulatory changes, and mitigate risk across operations while safeguarding the company.

This role collaborates with operations, finance, and HR, coordinates with external counsel when needed, and offers growth in a global trade context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in shipping, logistics, or corporate environments.
• Knowledge of UAE laws and maritime regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Legal Support & Advisory: provide legal guidance on day-to-day business matters and interpret laws and contracts.
• Contract Management: draft, review, and negotiate contracts; manage a centralized contract repository.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Legal – Assistant Manager to support legal and compliance functions within a dynamic shipping and logistics environment. The role involves handling contract management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing legal support across business operations while mitigating risks and safeguarding organizational interests.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Support & AdvisoryProvide legal support to internal departments on day-to-day business matters.Assist in interpreting laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.Support management with legal advice on operational and commercial issues.Ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated effectively.

Contract ManagementDraft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.Maintain and manage a centralized contract repository.Monitor contract terms, renewals, and obligations.

Compliance & Regulatory AffairsEnsure compliance with UAE laws, maritime regulations, and corporate policies.Assist in implementing and maintaining compliance frameworks.Monitor regulatory changes and advise on necessary actions.Support internal audits and compliance reviews.
