Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited is seeking a Mechanical Estimation professional in the UAE to review drawings, perform material take-offs, and prepare BOQs for water treatment projects. The role requires strong Excel skills and familiarity with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering and procurement, preparing estimation documents, and maintaining cost databases, with a focus on meeting deadlines and supporting proposals.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in BOQ preparation and ability to interpret mechanical drawings used in water treatment industry.
• Must understand mechanical equipment used in water treatment such as flanges, pumps, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with good communication and coordination skills.
• AutoCAD skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings and layouts used in water treatment systems.
• Perform material and quantity take-offs based on drawings and specs using AutoCAD/PDF documents.
• Prepare cost estimations, BOQs, and support proposal preparation.
• Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to verify material requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial estimation documents.
• Update cost databases, supplier quotations, and estimation templates.
• Ensure all estimation work is completed accurately, efficiently and by deadlines.
• Remain available during holidays or emergencies as required.
