Job summary

Emirates Panel Company Trading LLC in Dubai is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts team in recording daily transactions, assisting with invoicing, and contributing to timely reporting. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, at least 2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

UAE VAT knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions (AP, AR, GL).
• Assist with invoicing, billing, and payment follow-ups.
• Support monthly closing and journal entries.
• Perform basic reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer).
• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance.
• Coordinate with departments to verify financial data.
• Handle petty cash and staff expense claims.
• Assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed.

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Reporting to: Chief Accountant

Job Objectives:

To support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with timely reporting and compliance. The Junior Accountant will gain hands-on experience across various accounting functions and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).

• Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.

• Perform basic reconciliation tasks (e.g., bank, supplier, customer accounts).

• Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.

• Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting monthly closing activities.

• Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.

• Help manage petty cash records and staff expense claims
• Perform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of UAE VAT compliance is a plus.
• Accurate data entry and basic reconciliation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to system-based processes.

Years of Experience:

• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Exposure to a manufacturing or project-based industry is an advantage.
