Job summary

emiratespanel is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts team in Dubai. You will process daily transactions, assist with invoicing, and help maintain accurate records for timely reporting and compliance.

This role offers hands-on experience across accounting functions within a manufacturing/project environment. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 2 years of experience, and a solid grasp of Excel and basic reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software (Dynamics 365 preferred).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of UAE VAT compliance is a plus.
• Accurate data entry and basic reconciliation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to system-based processes.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).
• Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.
• Perform basic reconciliation tasks (bank, supplier, customer accounts).
• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance.
• Assist in preparing journal entries and monthly closing activities.
• Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to verify financial data.
• Manage petty cash records and staff expense claims.
• Perform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Objectives:

To support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with timely reporting and compliance. The Junior Accountant will gain hands-on experience across various accounting functions and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system (AP, AR, GL).

• Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.

• Perform basic reconciliation tasks (e.g., bank, supplier, customer accounts).

• Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.

• Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting monthly closing activities.

• Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.

• Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.

• Help manage petty cash records and staff expense claims
• Perform ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
