Job summary

Caliberly in Dubai, UAE, is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day finance operations, maintain accurate records, and assist with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/commercial fields, and knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT. Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, automation, or trading environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.

Job Title – Junior Accountant
Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of financial transactions. The role is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or trading environments is preferred.

General Accounting

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and vendor payments.
• Generate customer invoices and monitor collections.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables to support healthy cash flow.

Bank & Cash Reconciliation

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.
• Assist in preparing payment schedules and banking documentation.
• Support treasury activities as required.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits.
• Conduct basic financial analysis and variance reporting.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain organized financial records and accounting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
• Assist with VAT documentation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation.

ERP & Administrative Support

• Update accounting transactions within ERP and financial systems.
• Maintain fixed asset records and inventory accounting where applicable.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, HR, and operations teams on finance-related matters.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to the finance department.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, or trading companies is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, UAE VAT regulations, and financial reporting.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software is an advantage.
