Job summary

Tanqeeb in Sharjah is seeking a Junior Accountant with 1–2 years of accounting experience to join our finance team.

You will record daily transactions, assist with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and monthly closings, while maintaining accurate records and supporting documents. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is required; you should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and the ability to work as part of a team and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Handle Petty Cash transactions.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Assist with VAT returns and tax-related tasks.
• Monitor invoices, receipts, payments and expenses.
• Assist with monthly closing and accounting adjustments.
• Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
