Job summary

FLEX Commodities FZCO is seeking a Documents Controller / Junior General Accountant to support the Finance team with day-to-day documents collection, verification, and filing of accounting and trade-related documents.

This entry-level role is ideal for a recent accounting/finance graduate or someone with up to two years of experience, offering hands-on exposure to month-end processes and document control in a commodities trading environment with on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or documentation experience; internship accepted.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• ACCA/CMA/CA papers in progress or completed is an advantage but not required.
• Experience in trading/commodities or logistics is a plus, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized register/tracker of all accounting and trade-related documents (invoices, POs, delivery notes, contracts).
• Collect, verify, and file documents from banks, suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Coordinate with Operations, Trading, and Logistics to chase missing documents before month-end and audits.
• Support Finance Manager and Senior Accountant with document collection/submission.
• Maintain a well-organized digital and physical filing system for quick retrieval.
• Log pending/missing documents and follow up with stakeholders.
