  • Apply the correct entity, outlet, account and cost centre coding in line with the chart of accounts and Finance Manager guidance.
  • Maintain organised digital and physical records so transactions can be traced and retrieved for review or audit.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Check supplier invoices against purchase orders, goods received records or service confirmations, where applicable; flag missing approvals and duplicate invoices.
  • Prepare supplier reconciliations and payment schedules for review; assist with approved payment processing and retain payment evidence.
  • Allocate customer receipts, maintain receivables records and assist with outstanding balance follow-up and customer reconciliations.
  • Cash Bank and Petty Cash
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate unmatched transactions with the Finance Manager.
  • Maintain petty cash records, verify receipts and approvals, and reconcile balances and replenishment requests where assigned.
  • Track cash deposits and card settlement receipts against supporting records; report missing or delayed amounts.
  • Follow cash handling and banking controls. Prepare transactions for review and obtain authorised approval before payments are released.
  • Month End Reporting and Tax Support
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing by preparing reconciliations, schedules and supporting records to agreed deadlines.
  • Support accruals, prepayments, fixed asset records and intercompany reconciliations as assigned.
  • Compile routine financial reports and schedules for review, checking figures against the accounting records.
  • Assist with VAT schedules, invoice checks and return preparation under supervision; provide records requested for tax reviews and audits.
  • Coordination Controls and Team Support
  • Coordinate with outlet teams, Operations and Procurement to resolve missing documents and transaction queries.
  • Follow accounting procedures, approval limits and confidentiality requirements; promptly flag errors and control concerns.
  • Support improvements to templates, filing and reconciliation processes, and undertake other duties appropriate to the role as assigned by the Finance Manager.

  • Accurate transaction posting, coding and supporting documentation.
  • Timely identification, escalation and follow-up of reconciliation differences.
  • Bank, supplier, customer and petty cash reconciliations completed to schedule.
  • Month-end schedules delivered on time with minimal review corrections.
