Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.

Noorka Logistics is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support its finance and accounting operations in Dubai. The role involves maintaining financial records, recording daily transactions, processing invoices, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
• Assist with maintaining the company’s books of accounts and financial records.
• Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts, and payment documents.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and payment requests before processing.
• Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Monitor customer payments and supplier balances.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables when required.
• Assist with supplier statement reconciliation and payment schedules.
• Maintain organized records of receipts, invoices, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
• Assist senior accountants with monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare basic financial reports and accounting summaries as requested.
• Support the preparation of expense reports and payment records.
• Assist with VAT-related documentation and maintain relevant tax records.
• Check accounting entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies in financial records and report them to the senior accountant.
• Assist with audit preparation by providing required financial documents and records.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial and customer information.
• Coordinate with administration, logistics, procurement, and other departments regarding financial documentation.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic understanding of UAE VAT and accounting documentation is an advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a finance team.
