Responsibilities

• Supervise ATMS software development, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities associated with the iTraffic NextGen platform and related applications.
• Review Functional System Design Documents - FSDD, Software Requirements Specifications - SRS, Interface Control Documents - ICD, software architecture submissions, workflows, and database designs.
• Review software integration and system test plans covering FAT, SAT, UAT, cybersecurity, failover, performance, and reliability testing.
• Verify contractor compliance with contract documents, approved software development methodologies, configuration management requirements, and cybersecurity policies.
• Review software-related technical submittals, interface designs, server configurations, middleware solutions, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
• Monitor interfaces and integration between ATMS and ITS subsystems such as CCTV, DMS, traffic detectors, enforcement systems, C-ITS platforms, asset management systems, and third-party stakeholder platforms.
• Coordinate software integration with contractors and stakeholders to support seamless end-to-end system operation.
• Support technical assessment of Variation Orders, Change Orders, software enhancements, and system modifications.
• Witness software demonstrations, prototype evaluations, FAT, SAT, UAT, and end-to-end integration testing.
• Review software defects, issue logs, corrective actions, and deployment readiness assessments.
• Monitor software release management, migration activities, deployment planning, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity provisions.
• Attend ATMS software meetings and prepare technical comments, recommendations, and meeting records.
• Review project correspondence and prepare technical responses for signature.
• Maintain status logs covering software development, integration, testing, and issue resolution.
• Prepare punch lists and final acceptance recommendations for software deliverables.
• Review software-related as-built documentation, O&M manuals, administrator guides, training materials, and final handover documentation.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

Preferred Systems Experience

• Experience with ATMS, SCADA, Smart City, Mobility Management, or Transportation Operations Center systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of RTA ITS systems and transportation operations is considered an advantage.
• Professional certifications covering software, systems engineering, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or project management are advantageous.
• Arabic language capability is a plus.

ATMS Integration and Delivery Focus

The position requires oversight of a complex software ecosystem rather than a standalone application. ATMS modules may include operational dashboards, reporting tools, AI-enabled applications, asset management systems, traffic incident management capabilities, C-ITS interfaces, and connections to external stakeholder systems.
