Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking an IT support technician to install, configure, and maintain computer systems and AV equipment for daily operations and events. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, support end users on-site and remotely, and keep logs of repairs and maintenance with vendors.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Information Technology and certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified IT Professional, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from an accredited university.
• Certifications in CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified IT Professional preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for on-site and remote support.

Responsibilities

• Set up computer equipment and train users for safe IT system usage.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair end-user hardware and software (AV, printers, network devices).
• Maintain IT asset inventory and status reports, including decommission activities.
• Set up and operate AV/system equipment for events (microphones, projectors, sound) and media coverage.
• Manage printers/MFPs and badge printing for staff and events; oversee Ysoft Safe-Q print solution.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in-person, remotely, and by phone.
• Assist staff with installation, configuration, and usability of system hardware and software.
• Provide daily operations and systems support to personnel.
• Maintain logs/records of repairs and maintenance with vendors.
• Schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring operations.
