Job summary

NMC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an IT Support Engineer to be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring quick incident resolution and high user satisfaction. The role covers endpoint management, user support, and network connectivity, with emphasis on documentation, security, and collaboration across IT projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT or CS with 2–5 years in IT support, familiarity with Windows, AD, VPN, and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support experience.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and endpoint devices.
• Experience providing first-level support for enterprise/business applications.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and common IT tools.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, Active Directory, and remote support tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
• Perform OS installations, software deployment, upgrades, and patch management.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end users.
• Maintain inventory and asset records of IT equipment and accessories.
• Coordinate warranty claims and vendor support for faulty hardware.
• Provide first-level technical support for business applications and IT services.
• Respond to user incidents and service requests through ticketing systems, email, phone, or in-person support.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams when needed.
• Ensure timely closure of tickets per SLA requirements.
• Assist users with password resets, account access, and basic system configurations.
• Troubleshoot LAN/Wi‑Fi connectivity issues and support VPN access.
• Assist in troubleshooting network printers and shared resources.
• Perform routine system health checks, patching, and preventive maintenance.
• Support backup and recovery activities where applicable.
• Follow IT policies and security standards.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Build professional relationships with stakeholders and support IT projects and deployments.
