Job summary

31C is seeking an IT Specialist to support day-to-day operations across Linux and Windows environments, handling server and workstation administration as well as user access management. The role covers Proxmox VE virtualization and maintaining our Fortinet firewall and MikroTik routers to ensure reliable and secure systems for the whole organization.

You will work closely with the IT Manager and the wider team to keep systems secure, stable and running smoothly, contributing hands-on expertise

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on IT infrastructure or systems administration experience.
• Linux administration with command line, services, scripting basics, security hardening.
• Windows Server and Windows desktop administration, including Active Directory.
• Identity and access management experience and best practices.
• VPNs and remote access solutions experience.
• Fortinet FortiGate firewalls experience.
• MikroTik RouterOS experience.
• Proxmox VE virtualization management (VMs, containers, backups).
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and team-work, service mindset.

31C is looking for an IT Specialist to support day-to-day operations across our Linux and Windows environments This is a hands-on individual-contributor role covering server and workstation administration user and access management our Proxmox VE virtualization platform and the maintenance of our network security infrastructure including Fortinet firewalls and MikroTik routers You ll help keep systems reliable secure and running smoothly for the whole organization working closely with the IT Manager and wider team

• 2-4 years of experience in a hands-on IT infrastructure or systems administration role.
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration (command line, services, basic scripting, security hardening).
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop administration, including Active Directory.
• Experience with user and access management, including identity and access control best practices.
• Experience configuring and maintaining VPNs and remote access solutions.
• Practical experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls.
• Practical experience with MikroTik RouterOS devices.
• Experience managing virtualized environments with Proxmox VE (VMs, containers, storage, backups).
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset for supporting non-technical staff.
