Job summary

Dorchester Collection is hiring an IT Specialist for Riviera on the Beach in Dubai. You will ensure reliable connectivity, support guest IT needs, and manage critical systems in a luxury resort setting.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar luxury hotel IT position in the Middle East, with CCNA/Microsoft certs preferred and strong customer service ethos. Dubai-based, permanent, on-site with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT or related field.
• CCNA and Microsoft Certifications are desirable.
• At least 2 years of luxury hotel IT experience in the Middle East.
• Understanding of guest-facing technologies and troubleshooting.
• Strong English language skills for hotel operations.
• Previous luxury hotel experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Join a dedicated beach team and report to Beach Club Management.
• Maintain seamless connectivity and minimal downtime for IT systems.
• Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related guest complaints with top-priority attention.
• Maintain Beach Club applications and computer networks per Dorchester Collection standards.
• Enforce IT policies and procedures and monitor compliance.
• Assist in ensuring critical systems (Opera, Simphony, Call Accounting, HSIA, PABX, F&B POS) are available 24/7.
• Provide desktop OS and applications support, including patches.
• Monitor IT Helpdesk calls and resolve them on a priority basis.
• Ensure backups are completed as scheduled and inform the IT Manager of issues.
• Assist guests with IT support during their stay.

• Perform additional tasks as required and adjust hours to cover beach club needs.
• Be prepared for exposure to heat and sun, and to standing/walking for long periods.
