Job summary

Rentokil Boecker, part of Rentokil Initial, seeks an IT Officer to be the first contact for the team’s technical needs in Dubai. You will resolve day-to-day IT issues, set up devices/accounts, and keep IT running smoothly. This hands-on role requires problem-solving, patience, and teamwork.

The position offers exposure to Windows, MS 365, hardware, and networking in a corporate environment, with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 2–4 years IT support/coordination experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking basics.
• Familiarity with IT asset management and vendor coordination.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow).
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Fluent English.
• CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for IT issues via tickets, email, or in person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
• Support Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, and business apps.
• Install and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobiles.
• Create/manage user accounts and email configurations.
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher support or vendors.
• Record tickets and resolutions in the system.
• Monitor IT inventory and assist onboarding/offboarding.
• Adhere to IT policies and data security standards.
• Liaise between IT, vendors, and internal departments.

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Officer to be the first point of contact for our team’s technical needs. You will help colleagues resolve everyday IT issues, set up and maintain their devices and accounts, and keep our IT running smoothly day to day. This is a hands on support role for someone who is patient, practical, and enjoys solving problems and helping people.

What You Will Do

• Act as the first point of contact for users needing technical help, through IT tickets, email, or in person
• Diagnose and resolve everyday hardware, software, and network issues
• Support Windows, Chrome OS, Microsoft 365, printers, and common business applications
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices
• Create and manage user accounts, email configurations, and access permissions
• Escalate unresolved issues to higher level support or external vendors when needed
• Keep accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system
• Monitor IT inventory, including hardware and accessories
• Support staff onboarding and offboarding by preparing IT assets and accounts
• Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and data security standards
• Act as a liaison between the IT department, vendors, and other internal departments

• A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field
• Two to four years of experience in IT support or IT coordination roles
• A good understanding of networking basics, Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and general IT infrastructure
• Familiarity with IT asset management and vendor coordination
• Good knowledge of IT support ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow
• Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in English
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation are an advantage, but not mandatory
