Role Overview

The temporary role connects finance leadership with IT delivery teams to ensure financial systems, reporting tools, data governance, and process improvement initiatives support business goals, compliance needs, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main IT relationship manager for finance, accounting, tax, audit, trade, and financial control business functions.
- Work closely with CFOs, finance controllers, accounting teams, auditors, tax teams, trade teams, and IT delivery teams to understand priorities and system needs.
- Review finance operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve financial processes through enterprise applications and ERP solutions.
- Translate finance and accounting business requirements into clear technology solutions, system specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Support finance digital transformation initiatives by aligning business goals with practical technology delivery plans.
- Ensure finance processes, ERP systems, reporting tools, and data governance practices are aligned with business controls and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with IT project teams to support financial systems integration, enterprise application changes, testing, and rollout activities.
- Help define system improvements that support accounting accuracy, reporting standards, compliance, tax requirements, and audit readiness.
- Build strong working relationships between finance stakeholders and technology teams to improve communication, prioritisation, and delivery outcomes.
- Support documentation of requirements, process gaps, system dependencies, risks, and business impact for finance technology initiatives.
- Track progress of finance‑related IT improvements and elevate issues that may affect timelines, governance, reporting, or business continuity.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with finance and accounting functions in ERP implementation, financial systems integration, or enterprise application support.
- Strong functional understanding of accounting processes, finance controls, reporting requirements, tax coordination, audit support, and financial governance.
- Ability to convert finance business needs into practical technology requirements, solution designs, and implementation plans.
- Comfortable engaging with CFOs, finance controllers, auditors, tax teams, trade teams, IT delivery teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, ERP modules, financial reporting tools, data governance, and process improvement methods.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, PMP, PRINCE2, or ERP certifications will be an advantage.
- Analytical, structured, and detail‑focused, with the ability to manage finance technology priorities in a short‑term project environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics in business‑friendly language and finance needs in technology‑ready terms.
