Job summary

talabat is seeking a Senior Finance Systems Specialist for Dubai to lead Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations deployments across finance modules. The role focuses on solution design, configuration, integrations, data migration, UAT, training, and go-live support.

You will partner with finance stakeholders, implementation partners, and technical teams to optimize financial processes for high-volume environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Context

The Senior Finance Systems Specialist serves as the functional lead for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations initiatives supporting talabat 's finance environment. The role translates complex accounting and operational requirements into scalable system configurations while ensuring finance processes remain reliable across multiple entities, currencies, and high-volume transaction environments. This position works closely with Finance, implementation partners, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle. Strong execution directly improves financial process control, automation, reporting quality, system adoption, and the efficiency of enterprise finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations finance modules.
• Configure General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, and Budgeting functionality.
• Design finance solutions capable of supporting multi-entity and multi-currency operations.
• Ensure proposed configurations can handle high-volume transaction processing efficiently.
• Conduct business process workshops with finance stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Gather, analyze, validate, and document functional requirements.
• Prepare detailed Functional Design Documents and Solution Design Documents.
• Map existing and future-state finance workflows and document supporting SOPs.
• Apply D365 F&O best practices when translating business requirements into system configurations.
• Collaborate with the implementation partner throughout configuration, rollout, and deployment activities.
• Coordinate with technical teams on system customizations, integrations, and extensions.
• Define functional requirements for interfaces between D365 F&O and other enterprise systems.
• Review technical solutions and provide functional validation before implementation.
• Define and validate data migration requirements for finance-related master and transactional data.
• Support data extraction, transformation, loading, reconciliation, and validation activities.
• Use D365 Data Management capabilities, Excel, and Azure Data Factory where appropriate for migration tasks.
• Identify opportunities to simplify finance processes using standard D365 functionality.
• Drive automation initiatives using Power Automate and related Power Platform capabilities.
• Support development of Power BI financial dashboards and reporting solutions where required.
• Act as the primary escalation point for critical D365 finance functional issues.
• Coordinate resolution of complex issues with implementation partners, technical teams, and Microsoft support.
• Plan User Acceptance Testing activities across finance modules and integrated processes.
• Create detailed UAT scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Facilitate testing sessions with finance users and business stakeholders.
• Track defects, coordinate retesting, and maintain clear records of testing outcomes.
• Obtain and document formal functional sign-off before production deployment.
• Develop clear end-user training materials tailored to finance processes and user responsibilities.
• Deliver functional training sessions for finance teams and other relevant users.
• Support go-live preparation, deployment readiness, and transition planning.
• Provide structured hypercare following production launch.
• Resolve post-go-live functional issues and monitor system stability during the stabilization period.
• Ensure knowledge transfer is completed effectively with internal support and finance teams.
• Support integrations using Azure Service Bus, Power Automate, REST APIs, and related enterprise integration patterns.
• Work effectively within Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
• Maintain high-quality functional documentation throughout implementation and support activities.
• Communicate technical and functional concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, workflows, controls, and automation.

Ideal Profile

The successful candidate should hold a bachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline and have at least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, functional training, and technical support within medium to large enterprises. Deep functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is essential, particularly across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, and Budgeting. Exposure to Supply Chain functionality would be advantageous. Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate MB-310 certification is required. Candidates should also understand how D365 F&O supports complex finance structures, multi-company environments, multi-currency processing, integrations, and high-volume transactions. Strong experience with data migration is important, including D365 Data Management, Excel, Azure Data Factory, reconciliation, and data validation techniques. Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns involving Azure Service Bus, Power Automate, and REST APIs is also required. The preferred candidate should be confident managing workshops, producing functional documentation, coordinating UAT, training users, resolving critical issues, and working with technical teams and implementation partners. Experience with Agile or Scrum delivery is expected. PMP certification, GCC compliance knowledge, Power BI financial reporting, and D365 Supply Chain exposure would provide additional value.
