Job summary

World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an IT Emergency Coordinator to lead IT emergency preparedness and response in emergencies, including ETC and FITTEST deployment. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, assessing technology needs, and ensuring rapid deployment within 48 hours where possible.

The position involves budget oversight, funding advocacy, and collaboration with Humanitarian Country Teams. Fluency in English is essential, with UN language skills desirable.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technology or business management field; minimum eight years of experience.
• Fluency in English is essential; intermediate UN language desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage IT emergency responses globally and locally.
• Lead the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster (ETC) and support FITTEST deployments.
• Develop operational plans, monitor performance, and manage budgets for IT emergency activities.
• Represent WFP and the ETC in coordination meetings and donor briefings.
• Support Digital Assistance interventions and build local capacity for sustainable operations.
