Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
• Previous experience as Insurance Claims Officer, Claims Executive, Claims Handler, or similar role.
• Practical experience with marine, property, motor, cargo, liability, or general insurance claims.
• Good knowledge of policies, claims procedures, loss assessment, settlements, reserves, and documentation.
• Understanding of marine cargo/hull, property, motor accident, and third-party liability claims is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret policy wording, endorsements, exclusions, schedules, and deductibles.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage marine, property, motor, cargo, and liability claims.
• Review policy documents, coverage limits, exclusions, and terms.
• Verify claim documentation (statements, invoices, repair estimates, reports).
• Assess coverage, liability, and financial quantum within authority.
• Coordinate with insureds, brokers, insurers, surveyors, and service providers.
• Prepare claim assessments, reserves, settlements, and closure documents.
• Monitor claims status, reserves, settlements, and ageing.
