Role Context

The Instrument Supervisor – Control Systems will supervise and perform maintenance activities for critical Instrument and Control equipment to maintain plant reliability, safe operations, and equipment availability. The position combines hands‑on technical troubleshooting with maintenance planning, team supervision, shutdown support, commissioning checks, spares coordination, reporting, and safety leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform maintenance of Instrument and Control equipment and systems to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and integrity.
• Ensure required manpower, tools, equipment, spares, and technical resources are available for safe and timely maintenance execution.
• Plan, schedule, execute, and supervise preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Monitor job progress in the field and provide updates to ensure maintenance work is completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards.
• Provide technical support for instrument and control maintenance issues, equipment repair requirements, and system reliability concerns.
• Prepare scopes of work, technical inputs, contract requirements, cost reports, and repair‑related documentation for maintenance activities.
• Participate in technical discussions and negotiations related to equipment repair, service quality, and cost‑effective maintenance solutions.
• Maintain updated maintenance records, fault reports, logbooks, equipment history, and refurbished equipment databases.

• Conduct and participate in daily and weekly safety toolbox talks covering job risks, safe work methods, and task execution plans.

• Prepare lists of spares, tools, consumables, and materials required for instrument maintenance jobs.
• Raise purchase requisitions and material requisitions for maintenance‑related tools, spares, equipment, and field materials.
• Inspect newly received materials and verify specifications, suitability, and compliance with technical requirements.
• Initiate requisitions for store materials and ensure sufficient spares are available at the complex or field location.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance planning, stores, procurement, contractors, and technical teams to support safe and efficient work delivery.
• Guide technicians and maintenance staff during troubleshooting, routine maintenance, inspections, testing, and repair activities.
• Support compliance with company maintenance procedures, safety standards, permit requirements, and approved work practices.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma in Instrument Engineering, Control Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Instrument and Control maintenance within industrial, plant, or oil and gas operations.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising maintenance staff, technicians, or field teams.
• Strong understanding of Instrument and Control systems, field instruments, control loops, testing activities, commissioning checks, and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience planning and supervising preventive, predictive, corrective, shutdown, and overhaul maintenance work.
