AECOM is seeking an Inspector - Infrastructure Construction to support site supervision and quality activities on infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. The role monitors Contractor works against contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards.

AECOM is seeking an Inspector - Infrastructure Construction to support site supervision and quality activities on infrastructure projects in Dubai, UAE. The role monitors Contractor works against contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and HSE standards. Working under the direction of the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer, the Inspector will conduct field inspections, maintain site records, monitor QA/QC activities, and support testing, commissioning, and project handover.

Job Details

• Maintain familiarity with project contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, health and safety requirements, and subsequent revisions.
• Verify Contractor compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Confirm that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with the Contractor regarding site resources, work progress, health and safety, and ongoing construction activities.
• Implement and follow up site instructions issued by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Identify site issues promptly and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with the RE or ARE.
• Coordinate with Client representatives during site inspections in the presence of the RE or ARE.

Quality Control and Compliance

• Apply quality control procedures in accordance with the approved Quality Management System and project-specific quality plans.
• Monitor and record Contractor QA/QC activities, including materials testing, workmanship, and inspection records.
• Conduct audit inspections to verify conformity with contract documents, approved shop drawings, method statements, and Contractor quality plans.
• Maintain records of materials test results, inspections, and executed works for closeout and handover.
• Verify compliance with Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, and other applicable local authority standards and regulations.

Site Records and Progress Reporting

• Maintain daily records of Contractor manpower, equipment, and other resources deployed on site.
• Prepare daily inspection and progress reports for submission to the RE or ARE.
• Record relevant work orders, material deliveries, inspection programs, and site activities.
• Assist the RE and ARE with project correspondence, reports, and documentation required under the contract.
• Maintain complete and accurate inspection documentation throughout the construction period.

Measurements, Testing and Handover

• Assist with site measurements and survey checks covering utilities, alignments, levels, and other infrastructure components as directed.
• Monitor and verify start-up, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Support handover activities and ensure associated records and documentation are properly maintained.
• Verify that inspection and testing records required for project closeout are complete.

Health, Safety and Environment

• The Inspector will monitor site activities for adherence to project HSE requirements and promote strict compliance with established health, safety, and environmental standards during construction.
