Job summary

KEO International in Abu Dhabi seeks an Inspector - Electrical to join our team on a major building project. You will oversee inspection requests, review shop drawings, and ensure electrical works meet contract specs and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 9 years of relevant experience and a Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, with strong on-site coordination and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 9 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection / construction supervision.
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Attend Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and international best practice.
• Report works not in accordance with drawings and specifications to stakeholders for action.
• Monitor the quality of electrical works and assess safety on site, ensuring compliance with specs and risk assessments.
• Maintain records for daily on-site activities, including progress photographs for inspection.
• Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies and issue NCRs where required.
• Check and ensure effective coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
• Provide technical input to resolve electrical discipline-related issues on site.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector - Electrical to join our team based in Abu Dhabi.

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practice.
• Reporting any works carried out by the contractor that are found not to be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and reporting to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitoring the quality of electrical works and assessing safety on site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintaining records for daily activities on site, including progress photographs, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as required.
• Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies identified on site and issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required in line with project developments.
• Checking and ensuring effective coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
• Providing technical input and experience to resolve any electrical discipline-related issues that may arise on site.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 9 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection / construction supervision, preferably on residential or community building projects in the UAE.
