Job summary

KEO International in Abu Dhabi invites an experienced Inspector - Electrical to join our team on villa and building projects across the UAE. You will oversee on-site electrical works, review shop drawings, and ensure compliance with drawings, codes and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of UAE experience and a Diploma or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. We value a proactive approach, strong documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Five years of work experience in Electrical Engineering projects.
• Experience on Villas/building projects in the UAE preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) and take timely action.
• Review shop drawings against contract drawings, codes and specs.
• Report works not in accordance with drawings and specs to stakeholders.
• Monitor electrical works quality and site safety; assess environmental risks.
• Maintain daily on-site records and progress photos for inspections.
• Prepare surveillance reports and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Ensure coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
• Provide technical input to resolve electrical issues on site.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector - Electrical to join our team based in Abu Dhabi.

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements, and international best practice.
• Reporting any works carried out by the contractor that are found not to be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and reporting to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitoring the quality of electrical works and assessing safety on site, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Maintaining records for daily activities on site, including progress photographs, and ensuring they are readily available for inspection as required.
• Preparing surveillance reports for deficiencies identified on site and issuing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required in line with project developments.
• Checking and ensuring effective coordination between electrical works and other disciplines.
• Providing technical input and experience to resolve any electrical discipline-related issues that may arise on site.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience gained from working on Villas/building projects in the UAE is being looked for.
