Job summary

KEO International Consultants seeks an Architectural Inspector in Dubai, UAE. The role ensures adherence to architectural plans, building codes and safety standards through on-site inspections, coordinating with multiple disciplines and reporting deficiencies where needed.

The ideal candidate has 7 years of relevant experience and holds a Diploma or Bachelor degree. Candidates should have UAE high-rise project exposure, with a commitment to quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of work experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience on high-rise building projects in the UAE
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to architectural plans, codes and safety standards
  • Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and specifications for compliance
  • Maintain records of daily inspection activities and reports
  • Prepare surveillance reports and NCRs when necessary
  • Coordinate between discipline-related works and other disciplines on site
  • Provide technical input to resolve on-site issues
  • Monitor quality of works and health and environmental safety on site

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Architectural Inspector to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.

This position is responsible for ensuring the project adheres to the architectural plans, building codes and regulations and safety standards by conducting on-site inspections.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
  • Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
  • Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
  • Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
  • Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
  • Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
  • Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor degree in relevant discipline.

Candidates should have experience working on high-rise building projects in the UAE.
