Job summary

KEO International Consultants invites applications for a Mechanical Inspector position based in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on inspection, quality control, compliance with drawings and codes, and ensuring safety and environmental standards on active tower projects.

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, with a track record in Dubai/UAE towers.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience on tower projects in Dubai/UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Attend inspection requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action.
  • Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and international best practice.
  • Report any works by contractor not in accordance with approved drawings and specifications to stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality of works and assess site safety including health and environmental issues.
  • Maintain records for daily site activities, including progress photos for inspection.
  • Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies and NCRs when required.
  • Check and ensure coordination between discipline-related works and others.
  • Provide technical input to resolve discipline-related issues on site.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Mechanical Inspector to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
  • Reporting any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
  • Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
  • Maintaining records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
  • Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
  • Checking and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
  • Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience gained from working on Tower projects in Dubai/UAE is being looked for.
