Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification appropriate for Secondary education.
• Strong academic background in Business Studies, Business Management or related discipline.
• Successful experience teaching Business Studies at Secondary level.
• Knowledge of GCSE Business and post-16 pathways.
• Experience developing schemes of work, assessments and curriculum resources.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Secondary Business Studies lessons aligned with examination specifications.
• Develop understanding of organisations, markets, finance, operations and decision-making.
• Apply concepts to realistic scenarios, case studies and current market contexts.
• Differentiate instruction to provide appropriate challenge and support.
• Track progress and implement targeted intervention where required.
• Provide meaningful feedback to strengthen knowledge and skills.
• Contribute to establishment and growth of the Business Studies department.
• Develop schemes of work, curriculum resources and assessment materials.
