Job summary

As an Infrastructure & Platform Engineer – Cloud Operations supporting a premier banking project in Abu Dhabi, UAE, you will take full operational, tactical, and technical ownership of enterprise cloud architecture, Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster management, Terraform automation, and resilient cloud-native operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting scalable infrastructure on Azure, deploying containerized core banking workloads, implementing GitOps deployment pipelines, ensuring infrastructure security hardening and compliance, monitoring high-availability systems, and leveraging AIOps for intelligent log analysis and incident correlation. You will utilize your proactive troubleshooting and architectural engineering skills to maintain rigorous service level agreements and drive secure digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain scalable enterprise cloud infrastructure and platform operations on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage, administer, and optimize container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift across multi-environment clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines, automated provisioning, and GitOps workflows using Terraform and version control tools.
• Ensure high availability, horizontal scalability, advanced monitoring, observability, capacity planning, and robust disaster recovery across banking platforms.
• Support and integrate API architectures, event-streaming platforms, and core banking integration infrastructure for seamless digital transformation.
• Execute comprehensive infrastructure security hardening, vulnerability remediation, access control policies, and resilient backup operations.
• Leverage AIOps and AI-assisted operational toolsets for automated log analysis, incident correlation, runbook execution support, and infrastructure-code reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 to 12+ years of progressive professional experience in banking infrastructure, cloud operations, or platform engineering.
• Strong, demonstrable hands‑on operational expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services and enterprise infrastructure management.
• Deep practical knowledge of container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Proven practical experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and platform automation using Terraform.
• Solid understanding of high availability, observability frameworks, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and API integration infrastructure.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, system design, and problem‑solving capabilities under high‑pressure financial services environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong executive reporting and cross‑functional leadership abilities.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility in the United Arab Emirates and availability for full‑time on‑site operations in Abu Dhabi (immediate joiners preferred).
