Detailed Job Description:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at CloudOps Middle East in Dubai, UAE, you will take full ownership of architecting cloud-native infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and managing containerised Kubernetes clusters. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass provisioning cloud resources via Terraform, maintaining robust CI/CD deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), monitoring cloud security posture and optimising cloud spend. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure fault tolerant deployments, manage disaster recovery drills and enforce enterprise cloud compliance standards. Working in a fast-paced technology hub in Dubai, you will drive cloud transformation excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, automate and manage secure, scalable multi-tenant cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Build, optimise and maintain automated CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Deploy, configure and manage containerised application workloads using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration clusters.
• Monitor cloud performance, infrastructure health, resource utilisation, and log aggregation using Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog.
• Enforce robust cloud security baselines, IAM policies, encryption standards and compliance frameworks.
• Conduct cloud cost optimisation, resource right‑sizing and budgetary tracking across enterprise accounts.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies, backup policies and high‑availability failover testing.
• Collaborate proactively with software development squads to streamline containerised application rollouts.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture blueprints, runbooks and disaster recovery plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps or systems infrastructure administration.
• Deep technical expertise administering major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong practical mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, specifically Terraform.
• Proven hands‑on experience managing containerisation technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline automation, networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers) and Linux system administration.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving, automation mindset and cross‑functional communication capabilities.
