Job summary

GAC Group in Dubai seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance the IT backbone across offices and operations. You will manage servers, network gear, and security updates while assisting in projects like relocations.

The role requires a Computer Engineering background, CCNA certification, and hands-on experience with switches/routers, printers, and vendor liaison. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• CCNA or network/security certification.
• Experience configuring switches/routers, printers, and MS/Novell servers.
• 2+ years in hardware design/maintenance of PCs and network infra; strong helpdesk exposure.
• Excellent English; knowledge of a sub-Asian language is a plus.
• Hold UAE Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Back up and verify data of network servers.

Could you be the person we are looking for to join our IT team in Dubai as an Infrastructure Engineer?

What would your day at GAC look like?

• Providing technical support to users on IT equipment and peripherals
• Maintaining configuration details of IT equipment and recommending necessary upgrades
• Maintaining and administering network related equipment, including routers and switches, FAX Servers
• Backing up and verifying data of network servers
• Assisting in IT infrastructure projects as required i.e. office relocations
• Maintaining and installing security updates to all computers and servers
• Liaison with Telecom vendors for IT related procurement and support

What are we looking for?

• Computer Engineering Graduate or equivalent
• Certifications in Network & Security (CCNA)
• Experience in configuring Network Switches, routers and Network printers, configuration and managing Microsoft and Novell servers, hardware and software diagnostics and fax server installation and troubleshooting
• At least 2 years’ experience in hardware design, management, operation and maintenance of PCs and network infrastructure, plus previous support desk experience as added benefit
• Excellent English communication skills with knowledge of any sub-Asian language
• Ability to work on multiple projects and ensure delivery on time
• UAE Driver’s License
