Job summary

BeamTrail is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join the Deployment Team in Abu Dhabi. You will implement infrastructure solutions from high-level designs, defining hardware, BOMs, rack layouts, and network diagrams to support mission-critical environments.

You will configure physical servers, storage, networking, virtualization (VMware, KVM, LXC), and container runtimes (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) while maintaining internal infrastructure, docs, and compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure deployment or systems engineering.
• Strong experience with physical server installation and configuration.
• Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (i.e VMware ESXi, vCenter, KVM).
• Experience deploying container platforms (i.e Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift).
• Experience creating rack diagrams and structured cabling documentation.
• Experience preparing hardware specifications and BOMs.
• Solid Linux administration skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex integrated environments.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join the Deployment Team.

This role is responsible for implementing infrastructure solutions based on high-level system designs provided by the Infrastructure System Engineering team.

The engineer will define hardware configurations, prepare detailed rack and network diagrams, manage procurement technical specifications, integrate hardware and virtualization platforms, and support infrastructure deployments in mission-critical environments.

In addition, the role contributes to maintaining and improving the company’s internal infrastructure platform.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Implementation (Project-Focused)

• Translate high-level infrastructure designs into detailed implementation plans
• Define hardware specifications and prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Design rack layouts, power distribution, and structured cabling diagrams
• Configure and deploy physical servers, storage, and networking equipment
• Implement virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, LXC etc.)
• Deploy and configure Kubernetes clusters and container runtimes when required
• Implement network configurations (VLANs, routing, firewalls, segmentation)

Hardware & Vendor Coordination

• Evaluate hardware vendors and technical solutions
• Support procurement process with technical documentation
• Validate delivered hardware against specifications
• Manage firmware updates, compatibility checks, and lifecycle tracking

Internal Infrastructure Support

• Support and maintain company internal virtualization and compute platforms
• Contribute to improvements in monitoring, automation, and reliability
• Assist with troubleshooting production infrastructure issues

Documentation & Compliance

• Produce detailed low-level design (LLD) documentation
• Maintain as-built diagrams and configuration records
• Support compliance with security and defense standards as required

Requirements
