GEMS Al Barsha National School in Dubai seeks an inspirational Inclusion Teacher to join our dedicated team in January 2027. The role focuses on high-quality inclusive education within a UK-aligned framework, with emphasis on UAE national identity and culture.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s in SEN or Inclusion (or equivalent) and experience in a through-school setting, knowledge of IEPs, MTSS, and KHDA guidelines, and a collaborative approach with parents and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree with recognised teaching certification/licence.
  • Strong understanding of ICT in education to enhance learning and engagement.

Responsabilités

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons fostering inclusive education.
  • Collaborate with parents, leadership teams, and external partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of KHDA guidelines and UAE policies.
  • Experience with IEPs and MTSS for diverse student needs.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular programmes.

Inclusion Teacher – GEMS Al Barsha National School, Dubai

GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking an inspirational and dedicated InclusionTeacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in January 2027. Key Responsibilities:
  • UK approved Inclusion qualification relevant to working with young people and children in a school environment, such as a Master’s in Special Education Needs (SEN) or Inclusion and a relevant PGCE
  • Experience working in a through-school environment (age 3-18) is preferred
  • A track record of improving Inclusion provision in a school setting
  • Up to date knowledge of best practice in Inclusion and current policy in UAE, UK and globally
  • Strong knowledge of KHDA Inclusion guidelines, UAE education policies, and best practices in inclusive education is preferred
  • Experience in managing IEPs, interventions, and multi-tiered systems of support for diverse student needsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, leadership teams, and external partners
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and evidence-based intervention strategies
  • A passion for inclusion and equity, ensuring all students can thrive in an academically challenging and supportive environment
  • Make a positive contribution to our school community and culture through active engagement in our extra-curricular programme and community-based events.
Qualifications & Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (or equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree and recognised teaching certification/licence.
  • Strong understanding of the use of ICT in education to enhance learning and engagement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Experience
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a relevant subject area and age group.
  • Previous experience teaching the National Curriculum for England is highly desirable.
  • Experience within an international school setting is an advantage.
