Job summary

NH Collection Dubai The Palm is seeking a friendly In-Room Dining Order Taker to join the Food & Beverage team. You will receive and process guest orders accurately, coordinate with the Kitchen, and ensure high standards of service in a premium hotel environment.

Duty involves handling inquiries, upselling where appropriate, and maintaining precise records of orders and guest requests while upholding hotel policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Food & Beverage, In-Room Dining, or Guest Services is preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
• Strong guest-service orientation with a friendly and professional approach.
• Good knowledge of Food & Beverage products and service standards.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Answer In-Room Dining telephone calls promptly and courteously.
• Take guest orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Maintain knowledge of In-Room Dining menus, ingredients, and hours.
• Provide menu recommendations and assist guests with selections.
• Identify dietary requirements and communicate them to the Kitchen and service team.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Confirm orders with guests and coordinate delivery times and charges.
• Coordinate with Kitchen and In-Room Dining team to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor orders and follow up to avoid delays.
• Handle inquiries, requests, and feedback professionally and escalate when needed.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with the In-Room Dining experience.
• Process guest bills and charges according to hotel procedures.
