Job summary

The St. Regis Dubai The Palm is seeking an In Room Dining Order Taker to join our luxury dining team. You will handle room service orders by phone, guide guests on menu selections and wine details, and log each order in MICROS.

You will ensure timely communication with kitchen and guests, while maintaining impeccable service standards at all times. Applicants should be proficient with MICROS, capable of handling payments, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Takes room service orders over the phone.
• Answers questions on menu selections and checks with kitchen staff.
• Assists guests with wine origin, vintage and style inquiries.
• Logs orders and conducts timely call-backs.
• Notifies guests and management of delays in service delivery.
• Communicates dietary needs and special requests to kitchen.
• Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Records transactions in MICROS at time of order.
• Completes closing reports including MICROS reporting.
• Processes all payment methods.

Responsibilities

• Take room service orders over the phone and confirm details with guests.
• Answer questions on menu selections and coordinate with kitchen for accuracy.
• Assist guests with wine-related questions and ensure proper handling of special requests.
• Log and track each room service order, and perform timely callbacks as needed.
• Monitor service delivery times and notify guests/management of delays.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.
• Record transactions in MICROS, ensuring accuracy at the time of order.
• Complete closing reports and MICROS documentation for daily operations.
• Process all payment methods accurately and securely.
