Job summary

GBM in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Implementation Specialist – Network & Security to join our technology team. The role focuses on design, implementation and troubleshooting of complex enterprise networking and security solutions, with Cisco Networking as a core requirement.

You will lead deployments across campus, data center and WAN, work with multi-vendor security platforms, and produce high-quality documentation (HLDs and LLDs).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network and security implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT or related discipline.
• CCNP/CCIE/PCNSE/NSE or equivalent certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement enterprise Network and Network Security solutions across Campus, Data Centre and WAN.
• Lead network and security implementations from design through deployment and handover.
• Design and implement Cisco ACI, SD-Access, SD-WAN and DNA Assurance solutions.
• Deploy and manage Cisco technologies including Catalyst, Nexus, FTD, ISE and Umbrella/SASE.
• Implement security solutions including firewalls, VPN, IPS, NAC, Proxy, WAF and secure remote access.
• Configure and support multi-vendor security platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point).
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including HLDs and LLDs.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues and provide customer-facing support.

The role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise network and security implementations, collaborate with leading technology teams, and contribute to complex projects within the growing UAE technology market.

The role is highly hands-on and will focus on the design, implementation and troubleshooting of complex enterprise networking and security solutions, with Cisco Networking as a core requirement alongside strong exposure to leading security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement enterprise Network and Network Security solutions across Campus, Data Centre and WAN environments.
• Lead network and security implementations from design through deployment and handover.
• Design and implement Cisco ACI, SD-Access, SD-WAN and DNA Assurance solutions.
• Deploy and manage Cisco technologies including Catalyst, Nexus, FTD, ISE and Umbrella/SASE.
• Implement security solutions including firewalls, VPN, IPS, NAC, Proxy, WAF and secure remote access.
• Configure and support multi-vendor security platforms, particularly Fortinet, Palo Alto and Check Point.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including HLDs and LLDs.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues and provide technical support throughout project delivery.
• Work directly with customers, project teams and technical stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in network and security implementation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco enterprise networking.
• Strong knowledge of routing and networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ACI.
• Strong Cisco security experience, ideally including FTD, ISE and Umbrella/SASE.
• Practical implementation experience with at least one or more of Fortinet, Palo Alto or Check Point.
• Experience with Cisco SD-Access, SD-WAN and DNA Assurance.
• Understanding of public cloud networking and cloud-native security.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and customer-facing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
• CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE or equivalent certifications would be highly advantageous.
