The IB Environmental Systems Teacher plays an important role in helping students develop scientific understanding, environmental awareness, and critical thinking skills. This position supports academic success by delivering engaging lessons, promoting inquiry‑based learning, and creating a classroom culture where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging IB Environmental Systems and Science lessons aligned with school curriculum standards.
- Design lesson plans and classroom activities that encourage inquiry‑based and hands‑on learning.
- Support students in developing strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, assignments, and classroom participation.

Ideal Profile
- Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent teaching qualification in Science.
- Proven experience teaching High School ESS or Science, preferably within an American or IB curriculum school.
- Strong understanding of IB teaching methodologies and inquiry‑based learning.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to create motivating and interactive learning environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, parents, and staff.
